My Waja Toy Story   October 03, 2007

  .................................................................................................................................................................................

unrated, unedited by dave

Hi friends, I just want to share – fortune fell on me last month.

I was lost on what to do with it at first but once I regained my composure – I quickly cleared my debts, gave some of it to my parents and brother. The rest – I pampered myself. I bought 3 units of second hand Proton Wajas. Why not new Wajas you may wonder. Well, let just say no way I'm going to buy the new 'noseless' or 'beakless' ones.

My plan - one unit to be used for carpark racing (GRA), the other for track usage (HPC) and the remaining unit for community service. I will use my current car for daily use.

My neighbours gave me one kind of look. Maybe they thought I am a used car dealer or a drug dealer or maybe simply gone nuts for buying so many cars of the same marque.

The 3 cars are not in good shape. I may need to send them for a total engine overhaul, polishing (or maybe a new paintjob) and maybe - add some bodykits to it. I will try to rush one of it, hopefully in time for Round 4 GRA Nov 2007.

My 3 'new' cars are all 2002 models - one had a major accident before, one was flooded recently and the other - its history unknown. All units were repaired but in order to have a peace of mind - i had sent it to Proton Edar Service Centre for checkup one by one.

What a day to begin with - as I was rushing out this morning, my current Waja wouldn't start. 'Oh great!' I thought. I sometimes think my car has a mind of its own. I think it has grown jealous that I have taken in 3 new 'wives' so maybe this morning it decided to show me 'her displeasure'.

Made a call to AAM.... waited for the breakdown service personnel to come check what's wrong. I didn't think it is the battery because I've just changed it about 4 months ago. The AAM guys came about an hour later and problem solved. Money flew away again.

I just got back from an appointment and am now figuring out what I'm going to do with 4 Wajas in my car porch.
